We are more than a tattoo studio, we are a family, travelers on the great road who ended up not where we necessarily thought we would go, but where we needed to be. Inked Memphis has two locations for you to choose from. Our shops aren’t in some neighborhood shopping plaza or mall. They are on the Highland Strip, just steps from the University of Memphis and in the heart of historically hip Cooper/Young … places where Memphis has a great history and nightlife.

Cooper Young Garden Club

The Cooper-Young Garden Club is dedicated to promoting gardening education, neighborhood beautification and sustainability through volunteerism and friendship in the Cooper-Young community. The Garden Club supports the community in numerous ways:

The House of Mews

Nonprofit cat sanctuary and cat lover’s gift shop. This adoption agency houses over 100 homeless cats and has been a Memphis favorite since 1995. New Ballet Ensemble

New Ballet brings children together from all backgrounds with a professional standard of training, regardless of the ability to pay. The organization is known nationally for innovation in arts education and for unique presentations such as Lil Buck’s The Swan, performed with Yo-Yo Ma, and the Nut Remix, a modern multi-cultural adaptation of the Nutcracker. New Ballet was presented at the Kennedy Center and won the National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award from the Obama White House in 2014. With over 300 students and ten in-school education programs, New Ballet’s education programs reach students in the Orange Mound, South and North Memphis, and Frayser communities.

Central BBQ

Memphians know great BBQ and won’t settle for anything less. Central BBQ has been ranked in the top 3 BBQ restaurants in Memphis since 2003 and taken top honors ten times.

At Central BBQ we slow smoke all our meats: ribs, pork, chicken, turkey, beef brisket, sausage and bologna. Our premium meats are rubbed with a secret combination of dry spices, marinated for 24 hours, then are smoked low and slow in the pit over a combination of hickory and pecan woods.
No sauce is ever introduced into the pit.

Ounce of Hope CBD

Aquaponics is a form of agriculture that combines raising fish in tanks (recirculating aquaculture) with soilless plant culture (hydroponics). In aquaponics, the nutrient-rich water from raising fish provides a natural fertilizer for the plants and, in turn, the plants help to purify the water for the fish. It’s a win-win in our little ecosystem.
Indoor Aquaponic Cannabis Farm

Our indoor aquaponic farm offers a scalable vertical approach to high-quality fish, cannabis plants, and products. We are committed to transparent end-to-end (farm-to-shelf) supply chain management to add trust for our customers and industry partners. Using our Controlled Environment Cannabis Production methods (CECP), we are continually monitoring and changing the environments for our fish, plants, and facility. In turn, this allows us to bring our customers and partners a consistently high-quality end product while minimizing environmental impact.

The growing methods that our aquaponic farm utilizes lend us to a quick turnaround compared to current crop varieties that take between 8-10 weeks to grow and harvest. As a result, this means our end consumer product is never older than a few months. Currently, we can harvest about 6 times per year, and we grow plants and raise fish 365 days per year!

We aim to always give back to our community and stay friendly to the environment. To do that, we currently donate our fish to local homeless shelters, and our aquaponic operation uses 90% less water than traditional agriculture. Captain Harris House

The “Captain Harris House” is the largest and second oldest house still standing in the Cooper Young neighborhood. It was built in 1898 (the oldest house was built in 1893), located at 1032 Cooper. It was named after the man who had it built, Captain Harris, a steamboat Captain in the mid-1800’s.
