New Ballet Ensemble

New Ballet brings children together from all backgrounds with a professional standard of training, regardless of the ability to pay.

Dogs Rule Daycare & School

Day Care is a wonderful way for homebound dogs to release some of their energy while owners are at work. Of course, there are many other benefits for dog and owner alike. Active Dogs aren’t so prone to destroy things at home like your favorite chair or pair of shoes. They will also become more at ease around other dogs and people. Puppies gain confidence and older dogs become more tolerant. Owners have the benefit of spending more quality time with a happy and mellow dog at the end of the day. They also don’t open the door to unwelcome surprises.With three outdoor playgrounds and two indoor playrooms, there’s a place for every dog.

All play areas are supervised by experienced wranglers who not only love dogs, they know dogs. They watch their behavior and know when a dog may be about to cross the line, stopping any trouble before it begins. The big and bouncy playground is reserved for the highly active dogs, who need to run, splash and play in the pool. The medium playground sports climbing stations and toys for the more mellow dogs to enjoy. The little dog playground has its own pool and lots of toys and laps for the smaller dogs to enjoy. Dogs Rule is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Organizer of the annual Cooper-Young Porchfest, 4-Miler Race, and Beerfest, and host of numerous events and meetings designed to connect and inform residents and visitors.

The House of Mews

Nonprofit cat sanctuary and cat lover’s gift shop. This adoption agency houses over 50 – 75 kitties and has been a Memphis favorite since 1995. We publish our hours monthly on our Facebook page and our store windows, mostly a Saturday or Sunday depending on volunteer availability, we are open and also schedule private appointments.

Memphians know great BBQ and won’t settle for anything less. Central BBQ has been ranked in the top 3 BBQ restaurants in Memphis since 2003 and taken top honors ten times.

At Central BBQ we slow smoke all our meats: ribs, pork, chicken, turkey, beef brisket, sausage and bologna. Our premium meats are rubbed with a secret combination of dry spices, marinated for 24 hours, then are smoked low and slow in the pit over a combination of hickory and pecan woods.
No sauce is ever introduced into the pit.
